Las Vegas Sands CEO Sheldon AdelsonSheldon Adelson appears to be the target of a Tuesday online attack on various websites owned by Las Vegas Sands, a casino corporation that operates The Venetian and The Palazzo in Nevada, The Sands Casino Resort in Pennsylvania and other properties in Macau and Singapore. The sites have since been taken down.

Before being removed, the hacked websites featured detailed lists of the casinos employees, which included job titles, contact information and even social security numbers.

The sites also featured a message to the CEO himself, possibly explaining the motivation for the attack.

“Damn A, don’t let your tongue cut your throat. Encouraging the use of weapons of mass destruction, under any conditions, is a crime.”

The message, signed by the Anti WMD team, most likely refers to a quote from Adelson last year at Yeshiva University in New York where he suggested that the U.S. should drop a nuclear bomb on Iran.

The site, seen in a screen shot below, showed a photo of Adelson with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with flames in place of casino property images.

Adelson has made headlines in the poker world recently for his promised opposition against online gambling legislation.
