Thrills and excitement are a standard component of any major tournament series, but bestbet Jacksonville will take the fun to a whole new level this coming May during the Card Player Poker Tour.
Hosting the CPPT for the second time this Season, May 1-12, the northern Florida card room will raise the stakes for players by putting 12 Caribbean cruise packages worth upwards of $3,400 each up for grabs.
Cruise packages are good for two people to embark on the CPPT Royal Carribean Allure of the Seas seven-night Western Carribean cruise Sep. 7-14. Winners of the package will also receive one entry into the CPPT $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event aboard the ship and $500 in cash.
“We thought it would be nice to give our players another chance to play in a CPPT event, so we are sending 12 players plus a guest to play on the high seas,” said Jesse Hollander, bestbet Director of Poker Operations.
One package will be given away each day of the 12-day series during a high-hand of the hour promotion.
“Giving away a Card Player cruise package along with a CPPT entry seemed like a natural fit during our CPPT series,” Hollander said.
The May tournament series will be the seventh stop during Season II of the CPPT and is expected to see even more success then the previous August stop in which Harvey Vandeven took home more than $74,000 by winning the $1,500 no-limit hold’em $300,000 guarantee main event.
