In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. INTERNATIONAL
- 2014 European Poker Tour Vienna (Mar 19, ‘14 – Mar 29, ’14) The Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria will play host to the next stop on the tenth season of the European Poker Tour. The 40-event poker festival kicks off on the 19th with the first of two starting days in the €1,100 Eureka Poker Tour no-limit hold’em main event. The €5,300 EPT Vienna main event will begin with the first of it’s two starting days on Sunday, March 23rd at noon local time.
- The 2014 Latin American Poker Tour Chile (Mar 19, ‘14 – Mar 23, ’14) The LAPT returns to Chile for it’s latest stop, with the $1,700 unlimited re-entry no-limit hold’em main event kicking off with the first of two starting days at noon on Mar. 19th.
FLORIDA
- The 2014 WPT bestbet Jacksonville Spring Open (Mar 07, ‘14 – Mar 25, ’14) The bestbet Jacksonville’s 21-event spring series of tournaments kicked off earlier in March and is now moving into it’s climactic final stages. The $500,000 guaranteed World Poker Tour $3,500 no-limit hold’em main event begins with the first of two starting days at noon on Mar. 21st.
- The 2014 Battles at the Beach (Mar 05, ‘14 – Mar 25, ’14) The Isle Casino in Pompano Beach, FL is also nearing the end of it’s spring tournament series, with the $400,000 guaranteed $1,090 no-limit hold’em main event set to kick off with the first of three starting days at 11:00 AM on Mar. 20th.
MIDWEST
- The World Series of Poker Circuit St. Louis (Mar 20, ‘14 – Mar 31, ’14) The WSOP Circuit’s next stop is the Lumiere Place Casino & Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. As usual the event features 12 gold-ring events, kicking off with a $580 no-limit hold’em event starting at noon on Mar. 20th.
NEVADA
- The 2014 Wynn Classic 27, ‘14 – Mar 20, ’14) The Wynn Las Vegas is reaching the end of it’s 14-event Wynn Classic tournament series this week, with players having one more chance to enter the marquee $5,200 no-limit hold’em main event on day 1B starting at noon on Mar. 17th.
NORTHEAST
- The 2014 Foxwoods Poker Classic (Mar 08, ‘14 – Mar 23, ’14) The Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, CT will wrap up it’s 22-event tournament series this week, with the highlight being the $400,000 guaranteed $2,700 no-limit hold’em main event that begins at 11:00 AM on Mar. 21st.
- The 2014 $1 Million Live! Poker Classic (Mar 10, ‘14 – Mar 24, ’14) Maryland Live! opened in 2012 at the Arundel Mills Mall, halfway between Baltimore and Washington. Since the properties’ poker room opened in August of 2013 it has quickly become a popular East Coast poker destination, with this newly announced series of nine tournament set to be the venue’s largest poker event yet, with $1 million in guaranteed prize pools over the two week period. The grand finale is the $400,000 guaranteed $3,500 no-limit hold’em main event which kicks off with the first of two starting days at 10:15 AM on Mar. 21st.
