138 players showed up on Saturday afternoon to play Day 1B of the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Card Player Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville Main Event. After 12 levels of play, however, the 138 was trimmed to just 32.

Along with 15 players who survived an 80 person Day 1A field, that brought the total field size to 218 and there are just 47 players still alive heading into Day 2

There were a bunch of familiar faces who registered for the event, including Darryll Fish, Alan Percal and 2010 November Niner John Dolan. Unfortunately for Fish and Percal, neither were able to survive the day while Dolan made it to Day 2, bagging 60,000 in chips.

Chip leader Sean HampsonSean Hampson emerged as the chip leader for Day 1B. He finished the day with 206,700 in chips and is the overall tournament chip leader heading into Day 2. He is joined atop the chip counts by Men Nguyen, Kevin Baker and Pablo Ortiz. They finished with 173,800, 152,100, and 148,800, respectively.

Erik Gorman, who is coming off a third place finish at the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event in Cherokee, NC also made it survived to Day 2. Gorman ended the day with 103,500.

The remaining players will come back to the bestbet poker room at noon EST. with the intention of playing down to a final table. The final table will be on everybody’s mind, but earning a cash will be the first thing all the players are striving for, with only 27 players earning themselves a payday.

The money bubble will be popped at some point on Sunday with a min-cash being worth $2,700, but that pales in comparison to the $84,000 first place prize money that goes with the CPPT title.

Stay tuned to all the action via the live updates on CardPlayer.com which will have all of the action from the moment cards are in the air until the final hand is dealt for the night. Here is a look at the comprehensive chip counts from both starting flights as they head to Day 2:
