World Series Of Poker Says It Will Need Proof Of Residency For International Players

Nevada Regulators Want WSOP To Guard Against Money Laundering

On Thursday, the World Series of Poker announced that non-U.S. players coming to the 2014 poker festival will want a second form of ID besides a passport to register for live events.

The WSOP said it needs an ID proving a player’s current address.

The announcement created a stir from some members of the poker community.

Bracelet winner Jason Duval, who hails from Canada, Tweeted: “I don’t have ID with [an] address on it at the moment? What am I suppose to do?”
