On Friday, authorities in Arizona raided and seized property from two poker rooms allegedly violating state anti-gambling laws, azfamily.com reported.
The establishments are Pocket Jacks Poker Room in Mesa and Elite Poker Social Club in Phoenix.
In the search, agents seized eight poker tables, several televisions, computers, records, cellphones, a .38-caliber revolver, ammunition and more than $2,000 in cash, the report said.
Police were tipped off to the poker rooms earlier this year. Authorities interviewed the owners, letting them know there was a problem. However, both rooms allegedly chose not to comply.
As of Monday, no arrests had been made.
The Friday bust comes after December’s raid of five other poker rooms in the area.
All the rooms were accused of “benefiting from gambling.”
Arizona law doesn’t allow for commercial gambling facilities, though the card rooms are considered to operate in a legal “gray” area, according to www.phoenixpokerclubs.com.
Tribal groups within the state have legal card rooms.
