Nevada Web Poker Sites Win $862,000 In May

Casinos See Overall Gaming Revenue Of $970 Million

Nevada’s three poker websites generated $862,000 in revenue during May, according to figures released by the state. The win was an 8.8-percent increase over April.

April’s $792,000 in web poker revenue amounted to a decline of 14.5 percent compared to March’s $926,000. February’s figure was $824,000.

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total gaming win of $970,265,587 for the month of May 2014. That amounted to an 8.11-percent increase compared to May 2013, when licensees reported a gaming win of $897,438,790.

For the fiscal year (July 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014), gaming win has increased 2.04 percent. Gaming revenue is down 0.7 percent through the first five months of 2014.

Last year saw Nevada casinos win $11.14 billion off of gamblers.

Of May’s $970 million in gaming revenue, Strip casinos collected nearly $593 million of it. The growth was fueled by higher-stakes baccarat play.

Nevada’s three poker sites are Ultimate Poker, WSOP and Real Gaming.
