High-stakes poker player Isaac Haxton made an appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast this week. In the interview, Haxton talked about whether poker is gambling.

In addition, Haxton chatted about issues in poker like chopping, backing and so on.

The 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was also discussed, as Haxton described how he got into poker in the first place. He was once a competitive chess player.

Haxton is coming off a World Series of Poker in which he played a $1 million buy-in. He didn’t cash in the One Drop or in any WSOP event, but he did finish second in a $100,000 buy-in at Aria in mid-July. Haxton now has more than $9 million in career tournament earnings.
