The action will conclude with a winner and a seventh CPPT champion of Season II on August 4 with a live-streamed final table on cardplayer.com.

The massive 81-tournament series began on the heels of the World Series of Poker July 17 and saw no shortage of players eager to continue play on the felt in a different part of the country.

Robert KellerRobert Keller scooped up the first win of the series and a $16,068 payday when he bested the 225-player field of the $300 no-limit hold’em $50,000 guarantee.

As is tradition at the famous Oklahoma poker room, the tournament series also featured two very popular non-open events – a seniors and a ladies tournament. Rickie Merritt topped the 303-player field in the $100 seniors event for $6,517 and Nelda Escamilla picked up $2,818 for besting the 103-player field in the ladies event.

With a guarantee on nearly every tournament, a few big winners have so far come out of two of the larger prizepool events. La Sengphet earned a whopping $32,535 for her win in event 35: $400 no-limit hold’em $150,000 guarantee while Jonathan Bloyen walked away with $55,414 for taking down the $500 no-limit hold’em $200,000 guarantee. Sengphet also finished sixth in that event for $10,645, making the two some of the biggest winners prior to the main event.

While his earnings from CPPT Choctaw so far total just over $10,000, Justin Jass has also emerged as a force to be reckoned with during the preliminary events. Jass has three cashes and one win so far, all from Omaha events.

Allan Farber, the runner-up during Choctaw’s Season I CPPT main event, has tallied two cashes thus far and all eyes will be on him during the main to see if he can make another deep run.

Justin JassIn addition to the final table live-stream, the main event will feature live updates from the tournament floor throughout its entirety on cardplayer.com.
