Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Casino Main Event to Feature Quantum Reload StructurePlayers Have More Options to Buy-In With Quantum Reload Structure |

The Card Player Poker Tour will soon crown a new champion when it stops at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California Sept. 21 through Oct. 15. The winner of the $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event is likely to take home one of the largest first-place payouts of the year with a $500,000 estimated guaranteed prize pool thanks in part to the use of the Quantum Reload format.
Players will have the option to buy-in directly for $1,100 on any of the three starting days, but those who wish to skip day 1 altogether can buy directly into day 2 for $4,000. Players that choose the latter option will begin with the average chip stack from the three starting days. Players who are eliminated on any day may also re-enter the following day.
“The Quantum Reload concept is one tournament where you can come in different times, pay different amounts of money, and get different amounts of starting tournament chips,” said tournament director Mo Fathipour. “It’s the ability for the player to choose his or her day to play, depending on what day you choose dictates the amount of the buy-in and the amount of each starting stack. For the bigger tournaments, the players are coming on day two paying more money and starting with more chips.”
In addition to the Quantum Reload structure, the Bike will offer plenty of live satellites to the main event for as little at $65, giving players multiple ways to make a run for the top prize.
One player, Alec Rail of Colorado Springs, Colorado, won his main event seat through Card Player Poker’s Rock the Felt Promotion by winning a series of free tournaments.
The Fall stop will be the tour’s second stop at the Bike. In late May to early June of 2013 the casino hosted a 10-tournament series ending with a $1,000 no-limit hold’em $300,000 guarantee main event ultimately won by Thomas Beckstead. Beckstead earned just over $102,000 for his win.
The final two days of the main event will stream on Live at the Bike and the final table will also stream live on Card Player. The winner will be featured on the cover of Card Player magazine.
One of the largest poker rooms in the world with 175 poker tables and more than 100,000 square feet of floor space, the Bike is located about 10 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. The poker room is surrounded by HD televisions and guests are seated in comfortable chairs within a spacious, elegant, smoke-free atmosphere. Though the casino is without a hotel, there are a wide variety of accommodations available nearby.
