In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. Check out all the tournament action set to go down in your own backyard from November 3rd through the 9th. Head to our tournament database for more information.

FLORIDA

  • The 2014 WPT bestbet Poker Scramble & Fall Series (Oct 24, ‘14 – Nov 11, ’14) bestbet Jacksonville moves into the climax of it’s 20-event series this week. The whole affair is centered around a $1,000,000 guaranteed $5,000 buy-in event which is part of the World Poker Tour’s thirteenth season.The event features two starting days, with the first beginning at noon on Nov. 7th. and the second getting underway at the same time the following day.

INTERNATIONAL

  • The 2014 WPT Caribbean (Oct 30, ‘14 – Nov 08, ’14) The Casino Royale St. Maarten is hosting the WPT this week with a $3,500 no-limit hold’em main event kicking off on Nov. 3rd with the first of two starting days beginning at 4:00 PM local time.
  • The 2014 LPS Punta Cana Poker Classic (Nov 04, ‘14 – Nov 09, ’14) The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is about to kick off the Latin Poker Series Punta Cana Classic this week, with the $1,650 no-limit hold’em main event getting things underway beginning at 3:00 PM local time on Nov. 5th for the first of two starting days.
  • The 2014 WPT500 & WPT UK (Nov 06, ’14 – Nov 23, ’14) The Dusk Till Dawn In Lenton, England is the host for a number of big events in the coming weeks, with the early highlight being a £500 buy-in £1 million guaranteed event as part of the WPT500. The tournament begins with the first of seven starting flights at 3:00 PM on Nov. 9th.

NEVADA

  • The 2014 Deepstack Extravaganza IV (Oct 30, ‘14 – Nov 26, ’14) The Venetian Hotel and Casino Las Vegas seems to have non-stop tournament action. The latest series is a 46-event festival that kicked off on Oct. 30th. This week’s highlight is a $200,000 guaranteed $1,100 no-limit hold’em tournament that features two starting days, beginning at noon on Nov. 7th and 8th.
  • The 2014 Aria Super High Roller V (Nov 07, ’14) Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas has played host to a number of massive tournament events recently and they are set to do it all over again this Friday, Nov. 7th with a $50,000 buy-in high roller event beginning at noon. Expect to see plenty of the biggest names in the tournament game in the mix.
  • The 2014 WSOP Circuit Harveys Lake Tahoe (Oct 30, ‘14 – Nov 10, ’14) The WSOP Circuit’s latest stop is at the Harvey’s Resort & Casino in Lake Tahoe. The marquee event of the 12-tournament series is of course the $1,675 no-limit hold’em main event, which begins with the first of two starting days at noon on Nov. 7th.
  • The 2014 HPT Stratosphere (Nov 07, ‘14 – Nov 17, ’14) The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas is the site of the next stop on the Heartland Poker Tour. The HPT main event won’t get underway until next week, but in the meantime players can try their hand in the $40,000 guaranteed $350 buy-in event that kicks off on Nov. 7that 1:00 PM.

CALIFORNIA

  • The 2014 L.A. Poker Open (Nov 07, ‘14 – Nov 23, ’14) The Commerce Casino’s L.A. Poker Open kicks off this weekend with the early highlights being back-to-back $100,000 guaranteed $350 buy-in events, each beginning at noon on Nov. 8th and 9th. The series’ main event will get underway on Nov. 20th.

NORTHEAST

  • The 2014 Pittsburgh Poker Open Fall Series (http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournaments/5011-2014-pittsburgh-poker-open-fall-series) The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA launched into it’s 38-event Pittsburgh Poker Open Fall Series last week. The highlight of the coming days is a $550 no-limit hold’em event that features a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool, beginning at noon on Nov. 8th.
