The bestbet Jacksonville is the host of the latest stop on the World Poker Tour’s 13th season and the Northern Florida poker hotspot is trying out some exciting new things with this WPT main event.
The 2014 bestbet Dounty Scramble is a $5,000 buy-in ($4,650 + $280 + $70) event that features an impressive $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament kicks off with the first of two starting days beginning at noon local time on Friday, November 7th.
The event will also place $2,500 bounties on 25 players in the field and award a $5,000 payout to the overnight chip leaders at the end of days 1A and 1B.

We have decided to up the ante with $2,500 bounties on more than twenty celebrity players, including Poker Hall of Famer and WPT commentator Mike Sexton; Season XII WPT Player of the Year Mukul Pahuja; Season VIII WPT Player of the Year Faraz Jaka; and WPT Champions Club members Noah Schwartz, Marvin Rettenmaier, David Williams, and Jonathan Little,” said bestbet Jacksonville Vice President of Poker Operations Deborah Giardina.
Players may re-enter on day 1B even if they were not eliminated on Day 1A. If a player advances to Day 2 from Day 1A and Day 1B they will play the highest chip stack and the other stack will be removed from play.
Players will start with 30,000 in chips with the blinds opening at 50 – 100. The blind levels will be an hour long through level 16, with level 17 and on being 90 minutes long.
The final table of this event will be filmed for television by the WPT.
