Anthony Zinno came out on top of a 419-entry field in the 2015 World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic $5,000 CAD buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, becoming only the 21st player in the history of the WPT to win two or more title.

For the win the 33-year-old poker pro from Cranston, Rhode Island earned $399,579 CAD ($252,420 USD). He was also awarded 1,440 Card Player Player of the Year points, catapulting him into ninth place in the overall POY standings.

Zinno came into the final table as the chip leader with 4,730,000 of the 12.6 million total chips in play. It took only 70 hands to get from six players down to heads-up play between Zinno and Mark Bailey, who then battled on for another 75 hands after that. Zinno began the final showdown with more than a 2-to-1 lead and was able to extend that all the way to a 6.5-to-1 advantage before Bailey mounted a big comeback, coming within a few big blinds of evening things up.

Zinno was able to pull away a bit before the final hand arose. With blinds of 125,000 – 250,000 with an ante of 25,000 Zinno decided to limp in from the button. Bailey made it 750,000 to go and Zinno made the call. The flop brought the 8Heart Suit4Club Suit2Club Suit and Bailey moved all in for 5,175,000. Zinno quickly called with the KHeart SuitKClub Suit which was ahead for the time being against Bailey’s AClub SuitJClub Suit.

The board completed with the 4Diamond Suit on the turn and the 7Spade Suit to secure both the pot and the title for Zinno. Bailey was sent to the rail as the runner up, earning $266,394 CAD ($168,285 USD) and 1,200 POY points.
