The Card Player Poker Tour Wynn $300,000 guarantee $2,100 no-limit hold’em main event is still about one week away, but players have the chance to scoop up a piece of another large prize pool with a much cheaper buy-in beginning Mar. 5.
The largest prize pool offered outside the main event, event 10 features a $600 buy-in, three starting days and a massive $250,000 guarantee. Players will receive a starting stack of 15,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels and re-entries are permitted until the end of level 4, or about 3 pm on each starting day. Play will wrap up on each day 1 when approximately 12 percent of the field remains and day 2 will begin Mar. 8 at 12 pm.
The CPPT Wynn tournament series began Feb. 25 and will continue until Mar. 15.
