It was announced on Thursday, April 2 that the 11th season of the World Series of Poker Circuit will conclude with its WSOP Circuit National Championship event taking place at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina. The $1 million freeroll event will run from July 29-31, highlighting a 14-event series that begins on July 23 and continues trough Aug. 2 and will be televised by ESPN on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

“We look forward to welcoming the best poker players in the world to Harrah’s Cherokee and the beautiful Smoky Mountains,” said Brooks Robinson, senior vice president and general manager of the property. “We have an avid and loyal poker-playing community that greatly supports our two annual WSOP Circuit stops and our other year-round poker offerings and we’re excited to be chosen to host this year’s WSOP National Championship.”

The WSOPC National Championship is an official 2015 bracelet event that features a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1 million for players that qualify for the freeroll by winning a WSOPC ring event or Casino Champion titles at one of the stops this season.

The series will host two tournaments that will award seats to the big dance, a $365 no-limit hold’em re-entry tournament that begins on July 24 and a $135 no-limit hold’em ‘last chance’ event that starts July 26. A full schedule of events can be found here.

Players can also qualify for the WSOP Circuit National Championship via WSOP.com in both New Jersey and Nevada. To participate in the freeroll, players must simply finish in the top five of any of the WSOP.com Online Championship event in the preceding 30 days this tournament series is offered online. The WSOP Online Championships in both Nevada and New Jersey will each feature 90 events total, with up to 450 people qualifying for the freeroll in each regulated online poker state. Winners of these seats will receive automatic entry into the National Championship, three nights hotel stay, and money for travel expenses.

In addition to those who qualify for a free entry into the National Championship, the 100 players who sit atop the WSOP World Rankings are eligible to buy into this event for $10,000 as a result of their performance at all WSOP gold bracelet events over the previous two calendar years. Players who buy in will have their $10,000 directly added to the prize pool rake-free along with the $1 million being put up by the WSOP.
