According to a report from leparisien.fr, football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has turned down a sponsorship offer with PokerStars worth between €3-4 million a year.

The report said that he already has an annual salary of around €16 million, though Forbes put his actual earnings for 2014 at around $40 million.

The Forbes calculations have his endorsement deals valued at $4 million, so if the report on the PokerStars offer is accurate, it would have doubled his earnings in that department.

“At the last moment Ibra declined the offer, without explanation,” the report (translated) said. Though, according to PokerNews Italy, he supposedly didn’t like the financial terms of the offer.

The 33-year-old Swede is playing in France as a striker for French club Paris Saint-Germain.
