The Tropicana casino on the Las Vegas Strip is being bought by Penn National Gaming, according to a report from VegasInc.

Penn National also operates the M Resort in Las Vegas, but the Tropicana will be its first property on the Strip, the report added.

The casino operator has 26 casinos and racinos sprinkled throughout the United States. Penn National is the owner of the Hollywood casino brand.

The Tropicana sits on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Tropicana Ave., across the street from MGM Grand. The casino opened in 1957.

A price tag of $360 million will be paid by Penn National.

The Tropicana permanently closed its poker room in 2012. It’s unclear if Penn National plans to re-open it. It’s also unknown whether the casino will be re-branded.
