Poker pro Viktor Blom won $1 million yesterday at the online poker tables, according to HighstakesDB. Blom ran super well at $1,000-$2,000 limit Omaha eight-or-better.
Blom was having about a break-even week until Thursday when he started to kick things into high gear. The Swede logged sessions on both PokerStars and Full Tilt.
Other big winners over the past week include Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene ($127,000), Cort “thecortster” Kibler-Melby ($74,000) and Alex “joiso” Kostritsyn ($43,000).
Losers on the week include Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond ($297,000), Jason Mercier ($89,000) and Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu ($40,000).
Tollerene was the winner of the largest hand over the past seven days.
At $250-$500 pot-limit Omaha against Blom, Tollerene had the button and made it $1,500. Blom three-bet to $4,500, and Tollerene made the call.
The flop fell 6 4 4.
Blom fired $4,500, and Tollerene min-raised to $9,000. Blom put him all-in for roughly $22,000 more. Tollerene made the call. Their cards:
Tollerene: K Q J 4
Blom: A A 9 3
Tollerene was way out in front with his trip fours. They elected to run it twice.
The first run-out was 6 Q, while the second was 5 10, which gave Tollerene both halves of the pot worth a total of more than $70,000.
