The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino kicked off the third annual Seminole Hard Poker Open on Thursday, July 30. The signature series features a single-entry $5 million guarantee championship and The Big 4, a first ever four final table finale, televised by Poker Night in America on CBS Sports Network in early 2016.
Offering a unique and exciting poker experience, The Big 4 will be comprised of four guaranteed tournaments. Players will play their respective final tables simultaneously on a single television set produced for a new CBS Sports series, “Poker Night: The Tour.” Professional poker player and industry celebrity Phil Hellmuth will provide commentary for all of The Big 4 final tables in front of a live audience at Hard Rock Live starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Satellites will be running throughout the series. Major guarantee satellites offering 25 seats in to the $5 million championship will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, and Friday, Aug. 14.
The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) will return to SHRPO for the second year in a row, benefiting Habitat for Humanity International and Habitat for Humanity of Broward. Half of each $300 buy-in will be donated to both charities, while the other half of the buy-in will be placed in the tournament prize pool. This year, CSOP will award $25,000 in added prizes for players. On Friday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m., the CSOP tournament kicks off with an exclusive player party. Actress Ashley Greene, best known for her role on the Twilight films, will be in attendance at the event and will play in the CSOP tournament starting at 7 p.m. that evening, as well as the $5 million guaranteed championship the following day, Saturday, Aug. 15.
