Stones Gambling Hall today announced its first major live poker challenge event—the $100,000 Limit Poker Challenge. Since opening just over a year ago, the Stones Poker Saloon has quickly become a destination for live action poker for everyone from the casual player to the seasoned pro. This event deepens that appeal for players who love the limit hold’em game.
Beginning Oct. 1, and running through Nov. 30, the $100,000 Limit Poker Challenge rewards limit players for their time and skill at this finesse brand of poker. The top 40 qualifying players who combine the most high-hand wins with time at the table during the promotional period will win their share of $100,000. The top five qualifying players will take home $10,000 each. This is the first event of its kind in the region.
“We made the decision here at Stones to make a firm commitment to live-game limit poker,” said Art Van Loon, General Manager. “Being a great limit player takes patience and skill. The event gives this special brand of player the chance to play for big tournament-style prize money without having to conform to tournament style play. Limit players can always find great live action here at Stones.”
The Saloon at Stones features 17 poker tables, a dedicated bar and other entertainment features such as flat-screen TVs. Players in the Saloon enjoy a smoke-free environment and upscale amenities, like comfortable gaming chairs and tables, as well as tableside dining.
Stones Gambling Hall is Sacramento’s newest gaming facility.
