Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has signed a deal with social casino games company Greentube Pro, according to a report from the Hartford Business Journal.

The plan is to use the social casino games on mobile devices with the Foxwoods brand in order to attract more gamblers to the brick-and-mortar casino through various incentives like comps and prizes.

The move comes as the Mashantucket Pequot tribe is pushing forward with a plan for a jointly-operated casino with the Mohegan tribe, in order to boost their collective gaming revenue that has fallen from $3.2 billion in 2006 to less than $2 billion in 2014. New casinos in Massachusetts could send revenues down even further.

“Foxwoods’ leadership in the gaming industry makes them a perfect home for Greentube Pro,” said Thomas Graf, CEO of Greentube. “We are proud of our alliance with Foxwoods and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. We look forward to a long-term and mutually-beneficial relationship.”

Felix Rappaport, Foxwoods President and CEO, said of the partnership: “This relationship marks an important transformation for the social gaming segment of our business and we are confident that the fundamental principles that make the Foxwoods brand so distinctive will continue to evolve.”

According to SuperDataResearch, the social casino gaming market is currently worth around $2.9 billion. Eilers Research has estimated the social casino gaming market to be worth $4 billion in 2016.
