The field size record for a live poker tournament will likely be broken just a year later.

On Friday, the World Series of Poker announced that the second running of the $565 buy-in “Colossus” poker tournament, to be held in early June, will have a $7 million guaranteed prize pool, up from $5 million in 2015.

According to the WSOP, the event will be “bigger and better in 2016,” thanks in part to two additional entry flights. The first-place prize is also a guaranteed $1 million. The WSOP drew some criticism this past summer for a $638,880 top payout in the Colossus. The event drew a record-shattering 22,374 entries, nearly three times the number of entrants in the 2006 main event.

Colossus II will also be tweaked so that each starting flight plays into the money.

“This will not only ease congestion observed last year, but also allow a player to potentially cash multiple times in the event,” the WSOP said in the press release.

Before the running of the first Colossus, the WSOP said that roughly 24,200 players was the maximum it could support for the event.

The turnout in 2015’s Colossus helped the WSOP see a record 103,512 total entries during the roughly six-week long annual poker festival.

In addition to shedding light on the plans for Colossus II, the WSOP said that the $10,000 buy-in main event will run from July 9-18 in 2016. The series begins on May 31 with the casino employees event.

There is no word yet on how many bracelet events will be held this upcoming summer. The 2015 WSOP had a record 68 gold bracelet events. The full event-by-event schedule is expected to be released sometime in January or February.
