Sorel Mizzi handedly beat fellow poker pro Brian Rast last week in a boxing match in Las Vegas, which was organized to raise money for charity.
They were scheduled for four two-minute rounds at Syndicate MMA Gym in Las Vegas. In the first round, Mizzi knocked Rast to the ground three separate times. The match was eventually called in the third round, with Rast hitting the mat five times overall.
The match was emceed by Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak, and featured a sizable crowd of other poker pros. It’s unclear how much side action there was on the fight.
Rast, who has $15.8 million in lifetime tournament earnings, and Mizzi, who has cashed for more than $11 million in his career, are among the most successful tournament grinders in history.
Mizzi said on Twitter that $8,500 was raised for REG, a Switzerland-based charity group backed by several top poker players.
Rast was gracious in defeat, saying on social media:
Congratulations @sorelmizzi on the victory! He straight up out-brawled me and I didn't have an answer for it.

Poker fans can look forward to another fight, but not between Rast and Mizzi. In October, JC Alvarado and Olivier Busquet agreed to a MMA fight in April. Someone will walk away more than $100,000 richer.
