We are just over six weeks away from the second annual Super High Roller Bowl, the marquee event on Poker Central, the world’s first 24/7 poker TV network. This year the tournament will feature a $300,000 buy-in, down from half-a-million last year.
The event kicks off on May 29th. Play will be seven handed, with the 49-player cap already met and the field full of the biggest names in the game, including Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu and Brian Rast, who won the event last year for $7,525,000 million.
The inaugural Super High Roller bowl sported a $500,000 buy-in, as previously mentioned, and drew a turnout of 43 entries to build a total prize pool of $21,500,000. In the end Rast defeated Scott Seiver heads-up to secure the title and the largest payday of his career.
“I’m so humbled by the turnout of my friends, there was really a lot of people that came out for this,” Rast told CardPlayer TV in an interview after the win. “I’m glad I was able to put on a show.”
