2016 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale Final Table Preview

Only Six Remain From Field of 342 With $705,885 Going To Eventual Champion

The 2016 World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event drew a field of 342 entries, building a final prize pool of $3,249,000 for the final open WPT main event of the tour’s 14th season.

After three full days of play the field has been narrowed down to a final table of six, which will resume on Thursday, April 21 at noon Eastern. The final table will be live-streamed on a 30-minute delay, with hole cards and commentary.

The chip leader heading into the final table is Richard Leger with 4,010,000. With blinds of 20,000 – 40,000 with antes of 5,000 when plays resumes, Leger’s stack will start out 100 big blinds deep.

Chino RheemSecond in chips is Chino Rheem with 3,430,000 (86 big blinds). Rheem is a two-time WPT main event champion, with wins in the 2008 WPT Five Diamond main event and the 2013 WPT Championship $25,500 main event. On Thursday he will look to join Carlos Mortensen, Gus Hansen and Anthony Zinno as the fourth player to ever win three WPT main event titles.

Other notables among the final six include 2013 WSOP Europe main event and 2015 EPT Grand Final champion Adrian Mateos (850,000), WSOP bracelet winner and 2016 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star third-place finisher Bryan Piccioli (535,000).

Several big names made deep runs in this event but fell short of the final table, including Jared Jaffee (8th – $88,125), Dietrich Fast (10th – $58,210), Anthony Zinno (11th – $58,210), Jonathan Little (12th – $58,210), Adam Levy (13th – $49,640), Benjamin Zamani (16th – $41,070), Jon Turner (17th – $41,070) and David Paredes (18th – $41,070).
