71-Year-Old Woman Charged With Attempted Murder In Poker Home Game

Woman Accused Opponent Of Stealing Her Money

A 71-year-old woman in Alabama allegedly shot a man in a poker home game over an accusation that he had stolen her money.

According to a report from wbrc.com, the woman, Ethal Barron, has been charged with attempted murder and robbery for shooting a 70-year-old man in the leg on Wednesday. The victim was taken to a hospital and was treated.

The shooting happened at the victim’s apartment. Barron accused her opponent of stealing her money at a previous poker game, police said.

After shooting the man, Barron took his money and left, police said. She is currently being held on $60,000 bail in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
