This summer, the Card Player Poker Tour is returning to the Sand Poker Room for the Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza, a 90-event series boasting more than $16 million in guaranteed prize pools. The highlight of the series is a four-day, $5,000 buy-in main event that features a $2 million guarantee, and the Card Player reporting team will be on hand to bring you live updates on all of the action.
The $5,000 main event has three starting flights on July 17, 18 and 19 at noon. Players will start with 25,000 in chips and play 75-minute levels on day 1. Levels will increase to 90 minutes on day 2 and beyond. Players can also re-enter once per starting day.
The CPPT made its last appearance at the Venetian back in 2013. That event was won by Card Player’s own Allyn Shulman, who picked up the $293,966 first-place prize.
The DeepStack Extravaganza tournament series is one of the most popular poker festivals in the world and this summer’s series has a little something for everyone with buy-ins as low as $200 and games such as Omaha eight-or-better, H.O.R.S.E., pot-limit Omaha and Big O. There are also variations like turbos, survivors and bounty tournaments.
A full schedule of events can be found here and you can read up on the DeepStack Extravaganza at the Venetian Poker Room blog.
