2016 European Poker Tour Grand Final Main Event Draws Record Field

Event Attracts 1,098 Entries For Largest Turnout In 12-Year History

The 2016 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final €5,300 no-limit hold’em main event has drawn a field of 1,098 players, nearly doubling the turnout from last year to create the largest field in the tournament’s 12-year history.

It is worth noting that this year marked the first time that this main event featured a reduced buy-in of €5,300 which was down from €10,600 in prior years.

This year the eventual champion will walk away with €961,800 from the total prize pool of €5,325,300. The top 159 players will make the money,with a min-cash being worth €8,890. The top seven finishers in the event will all cash for six-figures.
