Keith Romanovitz Wins 2016 Card Player Poker Tour St. Maarten Main Event

Defending Champion Enrici Christophe Finished Second, Falling Just Short of Back-to-Back Titles

Keith RomanovitzKeith Romanovitz has won the 2016 Card Player Poker Tour St. Maarten $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. The $100,000 guaranteed tournament, hosted by Card Player Cruises at the Casino Royale in beautiful Maho Bay drew a total of 125 entries to easily surpass the promised prize pool.

For the win Romanovitz was awarded the first-place prize of $33,950 as well as 264 Card Player Player of the Year points.

Last year Enrici Christophe outlasted a field of 138 entries to win the inaugural running of this event for $37,950. Christophe made an incredible run at defending his title this year, making it all the way down to heads-up action before eventually falling to Romanovitz.

Christophe earned $20,984 as the runner up this time around, bringing his total winnings in this tournament to $58,934.

Cristophe was not the only player to follow up a deep run from last year. Louis Pfaff finished in seventh place in 2015 and managed to make the money again this year, finishing 12th for $2,486.

2005 World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Anthony Reategui finished fourth for $11,130.
