The bill in Michigan aiming to legalize and regulate online casino games will have a hearing tomorrow, June 8, at 2 p.m. EST in front of the Senate Regulatory Reform Committee, according to the Michigan Legislature’s website.
The legislation, SB 889, last had a hearing in early May.
The June 8 hearing was first reported by GamblingCompliance.
The chief of staff and legislative director for Sen. Mike Kowall, sponsor of the legislation, told Card Player last month that the bill has an excellent chance of passing this year.
It was introduced into the Regulatory Reform Committee in mid-April and hasn’t yet been voted on. According to the Poker Players Alliance, a vote tomorrow is expected.
