The brand new 110,000 square-foot Hollywood Park Casino facility will be the very first of several new projects to open next to Inglewood’s City of Champions Revitalization Project that will host the new Los Angeles Rams Stadium starting in 2019.

The grand opening for the Hollywood Park Casino takes place on Oct. 21. Attending patrons will have a chance to win $1 million dollars, free branded merchandise and more if they are one of the first 1,000 guests during the opening festivities.

Another great event scheduled for the weekend is a grand opening celebrity poker tournament, scheduled for Oct. 22.

“Our new building is 40% larger, holds 35 more gaming tables, and include a 20 percent increase in high limit,” said Hollywood Park Casino General Manager Deven Kumar. “And we are still just minutes from Downtown Los Angeles and LAX Airport.”

The Hollywood Park Casino has a long history in Los Angeles. It first opened in 1938 as a racetrack that was co-owned by tinseltown players like the Warner Bros., Walt Disney and Bing Crosby. In 1994 a casino was added to the race track facility. Just a few years ago in 2013 the racetrack was closed, but the casino endured and now is set to become part of one of the most exciting hot spots in the Los Angeles area.

“Revitalizing this facility, with all of its history and memories, will make HPC the premier casino and entertainment destination in Southern California,” Kumar said. “This revitalization plan brings with it more jobs, new properties for residents and visitors to enjoy and explore, as well as increased revenue for our city; all without using any tax dollars for any of the construction. It’s a win-win for Inglewood.”

In addition to the many poker and gaming options on offer, the HPC will also be home to the Century Bar & Grill, a fresh American fare diner with a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails. The Raise Lounge will also be there to offer patrons specialty cocktails and beers., while guests looking for a faster bite can check out the Deli for freshly made sandwiches and snacks as well as Peet’s Gourmet Coffee, tee, and blended beverage bar

“We’ve worked with the best designers to make this property fun and secure,” Kumar said. “The new casino has a well-lit parking facility and security cameras covering the area. People who come to play can do so in# a beautiful, safe space.”
