The $330 million Rivers Casino and Resort in upstate New York announced that it will begin taking bets on Feb. 8 at noon local time.

The Schenectady County property will have a 51,000-square-foot gaming floor, 1,150 slot machines, 77 table games and a 150-room hotel. There will also be a 15-table poker room.

The casino, which comes from Rush Street Gaming of Chicago, will be the second of its kind to open in the Empire State next month. The $425 million Del Lago Resort and Casino in Seneca County, which will be equipped with 1,950 slot machines, 84 table games and a 205-room hotel, is scheduled to open Feb. 1. It will have 12 poker tables.

Just a few years ago, the Empire State approved four Las Vegas-style casinos for upstate regions in order to boost struggling local economies. The state also detemined that its residents spend about $1 billion a year at out-of-state casinos. The first of the four opened late last year.

The Tioga Downs poker room has 12 tables.

In early 2018, the $1.25 billion Montreign Resort Casino in Sullivan County is slated to open its doors. It will have 2,150 slot machines, 102 table games and 332 hotel rooms.

That casino will have 14-16 poker tables.
