The 26,000 slot machines in Pennsylvania won a combined $180.3 million from gamblers in January, 2.4 percent less than the $184.8 million won during the same month last year.

Parx Casino led the way last month with $30.3 million of the slot revenue, Pennsylvania gaming regulators said Friday. That figure was two percent off from January 2016.

Seven of the state’s 12 casinos reported a year-over-year decline in slot win.

Revenue from the state’s roughly 1,200 table games will be released later this month.

The Keystone State casino industry won an all-time high $3.2 billion from gamblers last year, but it was just a 1.25 percent gain year-over-year.

In 2016, $2.36 billion was generated by slot machines, while $853 million came from the table games. The state’s gaming industry is now a decade old.

In an effort to keep the industry competitive in a region with wave after wave of new casino openings, Pennsylvania lawmakers are looking again at bringing gambling to the internet.
