For the fifth consecutive year, the Card Player Poker Tour has made it’s way to the bestbet Jacksonville, the largest poker room in Florida, for a 13-event series with $350,000 in guaranteed prize money running from April 27 – May 8.

The popular tournament series features something for everyone, with buy-ins ranging from $200 to the $1,100 main event. It all kicked off last week with a $360 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament that featured a $100,000 guarantee. In the end 562 total entries were made, blowing away the guarantee to create a $168,800 prize pool. Florida native Alex Feliciano took down the title and the top prize of $30,389 for emerging victorious.

The centerpiece of the entire series is, of course, the CPPT main event, which has two starting flights this year, each beginning at noon local time on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. Players start with 25,000 in chips for the $200,000 guaranteed event.

2016 CPPT bestbet Jacksonville champion Zac StitesAt the last CPPT main event held at bestbet Jacksonville Zac Stites topped a starting field of 289 players to win the trophy and the top prize of $61,136. The 25-year-old industrial engineer from Orlando defeated Mark Smith heads-up to secure the title.

Multi-table super satellites have already begun and single-table satellites are running daily. The main event final table will be streamed live, right here on Card Player, and there will be live updates throughout the event.

Originally opening its doors in 1934 under the banner of Jacksonville Greyhound Racing, bestbet currently operates two of the state’s most successful poker rooms at its Orange Park and Jacksonville locations under the direction of Director of Poker Operations Jesse Hollander and Vice President of Poker Operations Deborah Giardina.

Under the watchful eyes of Tournament Director Johnny Pham, the daily tournament schedule at bestbet has become one of the most consistent in the state, featuring a variety of no-limit hold’em and Omaha tournaments.

The property is also known for second-to-none cash games that make the pulse of the room pound on a daily basis. The most popular of these are the $2-$5 no-limit hold’em and $2-$2 no-limit hold’em, which are always running and available from 10 a.m. until close (and 24 hours on weekends). Other games spread include Omaha eight-or-better, pot-limit Omaha, Big O, stud eight-or-better, stud and limit hold’em. Also offered are Three Card Poker, Two Card Poker, One Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Pai Gow Poker.
