Day 1B of the 2018 Card Player Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event saw registration officially come to a close. A total of 373 entries were made this year, easily surpassing the $200,000 guarantee to build a final prize pool of $361,810. This is the third largest field for a CPPT main event held at bestbet Jacksonville, behind only the 378 entries of 2017 and 390 of 2015.
The top 47 finishers will make the money this year. A min-cash will be worth a $1,773 payday, but of course, all eyes are on the title and the $75,655 first-place prize.
Day 1B saw 210 entries made, up from 155 on day 1A. After 14 levels of poker action only 45 remained. The biggest stack to move forward from the second starting flight was Lee Thomas with 344,500.
The overall chip leader heading into day 2 is day 1A’s Nghia “Peter” Le, who will start day 2 with 359,500. The average stack when play resumes will be 119,500 with blinds of 1,500-3,000 with an ante of 500.
Day 2 will begin at noon on Sunday, April 29, with the plan being for play to continue until a final table is decided. The last nine players will play down to a champion with live streaming coverage of the action, with hole cards, available on bestbet LIVE.
