|
The second day of exciting poker action is in the books in the 2019 Card Player Poker Tour Ocean’s 11 San Diego Classic. A total of 384 entries have now been made through the first four starting flights of this tournament, which means the prize pool has grown to $76,800.
There are now just two $250 buy-in starting flights remaining, with day 2 direct buy-in also available. Players who would like to take advantage of the Quantum Tournament structure of this event can buy directly into day 2 for $1,500 on Sunday, Apr. 28 and receive 100,000 in tournament chips. Players can also pay a $30 optional staff add-on and receive another 20,000 in chips. Players can re-enter once before the end of the second level on day 2.
Flight 1C saw 104 players turn out on the morning of Friday, Apr. 26. Another 98 entries were made in flight 1D. The two flights added $40,4000 to the prize pool. From the 202 entries made on Friday, only 31 players made it through to day 2. Jay Chavkin and Donald Pennington tied for the largest stack from flights 1C and 1D, each bagging up 199,000. Richard Chun was not far behind with 198,500. The largest stack from Thursday’s action belonged to Michael Knight, who ended flight 1A with 195,300. That amount is currently enough to put Knight in fourth place on the overall chip counts.
A combined total of 57 players have moved on to day 2, with Shawn Daniels being the only player so far to qualify twice. His larger stack of 113,700 is currently what he will take into day 2.
