Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Hotel & Casino Main Event: Peter Chu Leads 35 Advancing From Day 1B

247 Entries Have Been Made So Far, With Day 1C and Day 2 Direct Entry Still Available To Play

Day 1B of the 2019 Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Hotel & Casino $500,000 guaranteed $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event has come to a close. A total of 140 were made on the second of three starting flights, and after just over 12 levels of action, the field was narrowed to just 35 players who will return on Sunday to play down to a final table, joining the 27 players to move on from day 1A. That means there are 62 players remaining from a total of 247 entries made so far, with day 1C and day 2 direct entry still available.

Peter Chu ended day 1B as the chip leader with 269,500. Other big stacks include Zaher Samaan (250,500), Bruce Kramer (250,000), Frank Mariani (195,000), Craig Schauer (191,500) and Angelina Rich (170,000).

Jisup HwangOther notables to make it through the day include recent WPT Legends of Poker fifth-place finisher Jisup Hwang (112,000), James Salman (198,000), Bill Klein (44,500).

A number of recognizable names failed to survive the day, including 2017 champion of this event Andrew Wisdom, two-time World Poker Tour champion Marvin Rettenmaier, two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Nipun Java, Mike Eskandari and seven-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Sean Yu.

Saturday’s day 1C will see once again 40-minute levels throughout the day, with registration and re-entry closing at the beginning of level 10. The action will again continue until the field is narrowed to 25 percent of the number of entries.

In addition to being able to play day 1C, those interested in getting in on the action can take advantage of this tournament’s Quantum structure and buy directly into day 2 for $4,300. Those who exercise this option will receive 120,000 in chips, with 50-minute levels and the blinds starting at 1,000-2,000 with a 2,000 big blind ante.
