The Card Player Poker Tour returned to the Venetian with a bang, drawing 277 entries for the $2,500 buy-in main event.
With the prize pool already at $630,175 and another huge field expected for Friday’s day 1B, the tournament should have no problem surging past the $1 million guarantee.

Players in this event start with 40,000 and enjoy 40-minute levels on day 1, with 60-minute levels starting on day 2. Registration will remain open until the start of level 13.
After 16 levels of play, just 44 players remained. Leading the way overnight is Vahan Sudzhyan, who surged in the last level to 752,000. He is followed closely by Ezequiel Waigel with 635,000, and Chris Gitre with 627,000.
