According to Gaming Intelligence Group, the Italian Finance Ministry has increased its online poker turnover predictions for the first year of real money from €400 million to an outstanding €1 billion, due to the rising demand from Italian poker fans.
The newly deregulated, and hence, competitive Italian poker market now has networks such as PokerStars, Playtech, and Boss Media.
During November, revenues increased by 41 percent month on month to €74.4 million. Accounting for 30.3 percent of that is Italian operator Microgame which hosted 370,000 games during the period.
