Albert Iversen was one of the few remaining familiar faces left towards the end of day 3 of the PaddyPowerPoker.com Irish Open 2009. He tangoed with Kara Scott for a bit, getting the better of her in one big pot, which made a big dent in her stack. However, it was Scott who made it to the final table in the end, after a really good run once more in what has been a rollercoaster of a tournament for the PokerStars sponsored lady.

Albert IversenIversen did not put her chips to good use however as psychological warfare began between him and William Kassouf.

Marcel Koch won the Sole Survivor competition where all Paddy Power qualifiers competed to be the last man standing in the main event. Koch took home the €100,000 prize plus €17,900 for 17th place, when he went out later at the hands of Canadian Andrew Pantling.

The eight players and chip counts going into the final table are:

Andrew Pantling: 2,286,000
Lee Brooke-Pearce: 998,000
Antanas Gueorguiev: 990.000
Christer Johanson: 650,000
Kara Scott: 701,000
William Kassouf: 569,000
Andy Bradshaw: 351,000
Bradley Verburg: 217,000

Only time will tell who becomes the Irish Open 2009 champion and takes down the €600,000 top prize. You can follow all the final table action and interviews via Paddy Power Poker’s live stream and blog at IrishPokerOpen.com.
