The Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation and the Sunflower Children Foundation join forces at this year’s Cannes Film Festival to host a celebrity poker night to raise funds for charity. The event will take place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc at 10.30 p.m. on May 17 and the host of the VIP table is actor, screenwriter, and director, Edward Norton.

A who’s who of Hollywood, politics, and the business world is expected on the night, with founders Ulrich Schmid-Maybach and Helena Houdova hoping to involve around 250 VIPs in the project. Co-host and MC on the night is world champion Jamie Gold, not only known for taking down the largest World Series of Poker main event and top prize in poker history, but also for his charitable efforts since then.

The winner of the event will win a seat in the 2009 WSOP, flights to Las Vegas, and hotel accommodation. They will also receive private coaching from Gold, before and during, the event.

Those interested in attending this Celebrity Poker Night must get accreditation from the Maybach Foundation and the Sunflower Children Foundation. More information can be found at Maybach.org and SunflowerChildren.org.
