Tonight 22 poker players will take each other on at City Hall Square in Copenhagen. However, this is no ordinary tournament as it takes place 50 metres above the ground.

PartyPoker.com’s Poker in the Sky will play out for four hours and the winner will go home with a PartyPoker World Open V package which includes flights, hotel, and the $10,000 buy-in for the televised event.

A spokesman for the site said, “Poker is a high octane game, and we want to give the Danish poker players a special experience that will really boost their adrenaline levels. We have an expectation that it will be the most spectacular poker event Copenhagen has ever seen. More details on those involved will be released shortly.”

Among the poker players are two celebrities, but not all the seats have been taken. PartyPoker.com is giving its Danish players a chance to win a seat by playing in a qualifier on the site tomorrow.

PartyPoker’s Cash Machine is also kicking off this month. Players who earn a minimum of 10 PartyPoints on at least 10 days before the end of Sept, will see the number of points accumulated on the lowest of those days turned into cash, with each point worth $1.
