European Masters of Poker Returns Next Month for Season II

European Tour Expands to Seven Legs for Second Season

The European Masters of Poker yesterday announced it was to return for its second season with an expanded line up of destinations on the back of the success of the first season which has just ended.

The first event €1,000+€100 takes place in Slovenia in November and will be followed by stops in Poland, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, and Malta. The denouement of the tour this year will be a cruise in December 2010 for the winners of the leader board competition.

Christer Larsson of Entraction network which runs the tour said, “The players really love it and all Entraction partners within the network have shown great appreciation. EMOP season II is on its way and we are proud to present new great venues and we will send at least 200 qualifiers from the Entraction network to each event.”

The full line up for EMOP season II is:

Nov. 25 to 28, 2009: Grand Casino, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Feb. 3 to 7, 2010: Olympic Casino, Warsaw, Poland
Mar. 25 to 28, 2010: Casino Estoril, Lisboa, Portugal
May 27 to 30, 2010: Casino di Campione, Campione, Italy
July 28 to Aug. 1, 2010: Crystal Crown Casino, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria
Sept. 23 to 26, 2010: Casino Barcelona, Spain
Nov. 17 to 20, 2010: Casino di Venezia, Malta
Leader Board Final Dec. 5 to 12, 2010: EMOP Leaderboard Cruise LosAngeles to Mexican Riviera

Last season, over five legs, the tour attraacted over 1,000 players and paid out €1.6 million in prize money and saw among its winners Johanna Pyysing, Anton Wigg, and Reuven Dayan.
