The Card Player Online Player of the Year race is just eight short weeks away from completion. Those looking to make their final push toward the top of the rankings will now get their shot with the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) XIV.
The popular tournament series began in August 2006 with just eight events and has since grown into the 25-event behemoth of today. This time around, Full Tilt has upped their quotas and guaranteed an astounding $16 million over the course of the 12-day run. The $500 buy-in main event will account for a good chunk of that, paying out a minimum of $2.5 million.
Of course, there’s a lot more than cash on the line for those fortunate enough to do well in the series. If you make a final table during the series, Full Tilt will send you a limited-edition FTOPS jacket. Win a tournament, and you’ll pick up an exclusive gold FTOPS jersey and jersey avatar. The player who finishes atop the FTOPS XIV leader board will win a custom avatar and prize package that includes nearly $7,500 in future buy-ins.
The series will feature a wide variety of games, including many no-limit hold’em variations, H.O.R.S.E., and even a seven-game mixed rotation. Each of the tournaments will be hosted by Full Tilt pros, such as Erick Lindgren, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Andy Bloch, Nick Schulman, and recent Caesars Palace Classic champion Isaac Baron.
