The 2009 World Series of Poker main event champion Joseph Cada will appear on The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 11:30 p.m. on CBS. Cada defeated a field of 6,493 other players in the 2009 WSOP main event to take home the world championship title and $8,546,435 in prize money, along with the gold bracelet.

“I still can’t believe that I won the WSOP,” said Cada. “It all keeps hitting me in stages, and now David Letterman? This is just as good as winning the main event. I’m such a huge fan; it’s an honor to be on the show.”

Cada won the main event just eight days before his 22nd birthday, making him the youngest world champion in poker history. Cada beat the record set by the 2008 world champion, Peter Eastgate, by 340 days. Cada will discuss his big win on the show tonight. It is the first time in four years that a poker player will be featured on the Late Show.
