iPoker Revenue Down 4 Percent in First Quarter

Playtech’s iPoker Network Sees Decline in First Quarter 2010 to €8.5 million

iPoker revenue down in first quarter 2010Playtech, the publicly-quoted owner of the iPoker network, has issued its interim financial statement for the first quarter of 2010 which reports poker revenue down 4 percent to €8.5 million compared to €8.88 million in the same period of last year.

Poker revenue was however up 2 percent compared to the final quarter of 2009. It also rose 12 percent in total over 2009.

iPoker hosts poker rooms such as Titan, Victor Chandler, and William Hill and Playtech also operates bingo and casino platforms.

Gross income across all business units at Playtech for the first quarter totalled €43.4 million, up 29% on the same period in 2009 and 13 percent ahead of the last quarter of 2009.
