PKR.com yesterday marked the four years since its launch on August 17, 2006.
The innovative 3D online poker room now has more than 3.75 million registered players and has given away just shy of $3 million in freerolls since its inception.
Up to 16,000 people play on the site at any given time and the company has won numerous awards, launched its on TV show and magazine, and sponsored London’s first poker venue.
Marketing Director Simon Prodger said, “We’re very proud of our achievements to date. We came against a lot of pessimism for being so innovative when we launched, but our customers have shown that they enjoy playing in our true to life environment and really appreciate the community feel.”
To mark the occasion PKR has launched V2.0 of its famous software, the largest overhaul at the site since it opened its doors.
It features a completely new user interface, overhauled lobby and new multi-tabling system which allows players to play up to nine tables at once.
