Poker For The Homeless Tournament Takes Place Sunday

Five Bounties Take Part in Charity Poker Game at UKIPT Dublin On Sunday

UKIPT supports Poker For The HomelessPokerStars.com Poker For The Homeless returns tomorrow Sunday September 12, 2010 as part of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Dublin and five bounties have been confirmed for the event.

The bounties will have €350 on their heads. Of this, €250 goes to charity and €100 to the player who knocks them out of the tournament.

The bounties are rugby internationalist Reggie Corrigan, Olympic boxing gold medalist Michael Carruth, poker world champion Noel Furlong, UKIPT Galway winner Padraig Parkinson, and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Donnacha O’Dea.

The €100 + €20 + €20 buy in event closes the festival in support of Irish homelessness. Of this €30 goes to the fundraisers— €20 directly from each player who signs up to support the event and €10 from the registration fee of the tournament organizers – and will be disbursed to homeless charities in Dublin by Poker For The Homeless.

PokerStars has also kindly donated a seat at season seven European Poker Tour London worth £5,250 to the winner of the event where they will be playing for 50 percent for themselves and 50 percent for homeless charities.

The event has a starting stack of 5,000 in chips and blinds will be 30 minutes.

To date, Poker For The Homeless has raised over €175,000 for Simon Dublin, Simon Galway, and the Capuchin Day Centre, Dublin.
