On the eve of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Copenhagen main event, four players from either Finland, Sweden, Denmark, or Norway were set to be crowned for their achievements at the live and online felt.
The 2011 Nordic Poker Awards, which were this year held at Zen in Copenhagen, were first established to honor Nordic poker players for their success and prowess on the international poker circuit.

Best Performance: EPT Berlin runner-up Ilari Tahkokallio
Live Tournament Player of the Year: Team PokerStars Pro player Theo Jørgensen
Online Player of the Year: Andreas “Skjervøy” Torbergsen
Rookie Player of the Year: EPT Tallinn winner Kevin Stani
The main event continues today with day 1B.
Last year it was Anton Wigg who topped a field of 423 and walked away with DKK 3,675,000 (€494,000) for his performance.
