LAPC Tournament Director Matt SavageOne of the largest tournament series of the year begins on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Commerce Casino. The Los Angeles Poker Classic will feature 33 preliminary events from Jan. 22-Feb. 19. The World Poker Tour $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship event will take place from Feb. 21-26, and the WPT Celebrity Invitational will follow, running from Feb. 28-Mar. 2.

Matt Savage has taken over as tournament director this year, and he has spiced up the schedule by adding a $5,000 pot-limit Omaha event with a single rebuy, a $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. championship, and a $10,000 no-limit hold’em heads-up championship to make this series a marquee stop on the tournament trail. Card Player’s live coverage team will be covering all of the major events mentioned above, and you can check up on the results from every preliminary event on CardPlayer.com for the entirety of the tournament series.
